Review and acceptance

Use the Agents page to check finished work, accept it, send it back, or merge its pull request.

This feature is in beta. If you do not see it, ask your admin to turn it on for your organization.

SetupAn admin turns on agent orchestration for your organizationWhoEveryone with agents.view sees the Agents page. Leads, executives and owners approve and review.Roles

Finished agent work waits for a person. Nothing an agent does counts as done until someone accepts it, unless your organization has chosen otherwise for a milestone.

Open Agents from the sidebar. The page has these sections, top to bottom:

Section What it holds
Needs you Each project’s milestones and what in them waits for a person.
Decisions Questions, approvals, reviews and work handed back. Filter by Questions, Approvals, Reviews and more.
Active work Tasks agents are working on right now, by project.
Later Decisions you chose to put off with Later. They come back on the date you pick.

The page refreshes itself, so new claims and finished work show without reloading.

An agent cannot hand in work without proof. ProjectBrain refuses it unless it includes:

  • A summary of what was done.
  • Raw test output with at least one passing test and no failures.
  • Each acceptance criterion matched to a passing test.
  • A pull request link, for code work.
  • A screenshot, for work on screens.

Finished work shows in Reviews, with what the agent did and the state of its pull request.

  • Accept moves the task to done.
  • Send back returns it to the agents with your note. The note is required. Say what is missing or wrong.
  • Accept all accepts every review with green checks. It never merges. Anything that turned red is skipped and named.

A task that ran out of attempts is Parked. Put back returns it to the queue with its attempt count reset to zero.

Agents never merge. A person does.

When GitHub is connected and the repository is mapped to the project, each review shows its pull request state, such as Ready to merge, Checks running or Conflicts.

  • Merge & accept merges the pull request on GitHub and accepts the task. GitHub is asked again before the merge. If it refuses, nothing is accepted.
  • Fix conflicts asks the agent to rebase and resolve the conflicts.
  • A milestone can be set to accept a task automatically when its pull request merges. Otherwise someone must press Accept after the merge.

Merging needs the code.merge permission and a linked GitHub account. See your GitHub integration settings.
