This feature is in beta. If you do not see it, ask your admin to turn it on for your organization.

Focus mode helps with the part of work around the doing: starting, protecting time, and recovering when a day goes wrong. It was designed with ADHD in mind and works for anyone who wants a calmer day. What you write in it is private to you.

  • An owner turns on Focus Mode for your organization at Settings > Focus Mode.
  • Then you opt in yourself. If your organization has it but you have not joined, the sidebar shows Activate Focus Mode. Choose it, then turn on Opt in to Focus Mode.
  • Once you opt in, a Focus section appears in the sidebar, starting with Focus Hub.

Focus Hub is your home base. A short morning plan helps you choose what today is for, and your tasks appear in the view that suits you, such as a ranked list for today or three slots for now, next and later. A focus session runs a timer for a set length. When it ends, you write one line about what you did.

The sidebar also holds Inbox (things you captured but have not sorted), Coach, Rooms, Calibration, Routines, Inspiration and Reflect.

  1. Open Focus Hub.
  2. Choose Plan my day.
  3. Rate your energy, pick the tasks that matter today, and schedule them if you want to.
  4. Choose Commit plan.
  1. On a task, choose Break this down.
  2. You get a short checklist of small, concrete steps. Edit them so they match how you work.
  3. Tick steps off as you go. The first step is meant to be easy enough to start right now.
  1. On a task card, choose Start focus and pick a length.
  2. Work until the timer ends. If something pops into your head, capture it to your inbox and keep going.
  3. When it ends, note what you did, then take a break or start another session.
  1. Go to Settings > Focus Mode.
  2. Under External status sync, choose Connect Slack, or turn on Microsoft Teams.
  3. Your status updates when a focus session starts and ends, so people know not to interrupt.
  • Download my Focus data gives you your sessions, brain dumps, retros and preferences. Conversations with the coach are not saved, so they are not included.
  • To leave, turn off Opt in to Focus Mode on the same settings page.

Focus music is a small player at the foot of the sidebar with binaural-beat tracks. Press play, pick a track, and keep working. The music keeps playing as you move between pages.

  • It is in beta and has its own switch. If you do not see the player, ask your admin to turn on Focus music for your organization.
  • It never starts by itself. After you reload the page, your last track comes back paused.
  • Only one browser tab plays at a time. Starting it in one tab pauses the others.
  • To hide the player, turn off Show focus music at Settings > Appearance.
  • Outside people, such as clients and vendors, do not get the player.

Your manager cannot see what you worked on, what you wrote in a check-in or reflection, or what you said to the coach. If you choose to share it, teammates can see that you are in a focus session, without the task name.

Focus access audit in your Focus settings lists every time someone viewed your sensitive Focus data, so you always know who has seen what.

  • Turning Focus mode on for the organization does not opt anyone in. Each person chooses.
  • The coach uses AI. The timer, routines and recovery tools work without it.
