Personal settings

Settings that change things for you only, such as your profile, password, theme and notifications.

These screens change your own account. Nobody else sees the result, and they need no special permission unless noted.

Settings > Profile. Any member.

  • Name and Email: how you appear to your team and where email goes. If you change your email, you get a link to confirm the new address.
  • Timezone: meeting times, reminders and digests use this timezone. ProjectBrain guesses it from your browser the first time if you have not set one.
  • Time format: 12-hour or 24-hour clock.

You can also delete your account from this screen.

Settings > Password. Any member. Enter your current password, then the new one twice.

Settings > Two-Factor Auth. Any member. Turn on two-factor authentication to ask for a code from an authenticator app each time you sign in. You may be asked for your password before the screen opens. Save the recovery codes somewhere safe; they are the way back in if you lose your phone.

Settings > Appearance. Any member.

  • Theme: light, dark, or follow your system.
  • Density: how much space sits around rows and cards.
  • Motion: how things move on screen. Use Replay to preview it.
  • Focus ring: how the outline looks around the item your keyboard is on.
  • Focus music: the Show focus music switch adds or removes the music player. It appears only when focus music is turned on for your organization. See Focus mode.

Settings > Focus Mode and Settings > Coach Access Audit. Needs focus-mode.use.

Choose how focus sessions work for you. The audit screen lists who has looked at your focus coaching data. Read more in Focus mode.

Settings > Cortex Coach. Only people who have been given Cortex access see this screen.

Settings > Notifications appears only when a feature that uses it is turned on for your organization.

  • Wiki: choose in-app or email for each kind of wiki event, and whether you get a digest. See Wiki.
  • Resources: choose in-app or email for resource flags, over-capacity alerts and the Monday digest. See Resource management.

Other notifications are covered in Notifications.
