Integrations

What each integration does, who can connect it, and where to find it in Settings.

Integrations bring work from other tools into ProjectBrain, or send ProjectBrain events out to them. Most live at Settings > Integrations. Some connections are personal (your own calendar), and some act for the whole organization (a GitHub account).

Integration What it does Who can connect it Where
GitHub (beta) Links tasks to pull requests and issues, shows their status, merges from the task, and syncs issues and comments. People with github.connect (owners and executives) Settings > Integrations > GitHub
Jira Imports Jira issues as tasks, when someone starts an import. One way, Jira to ProjectBrain. Anyone with project.create Settings > Integrations > Jira
Asana Syncs Asana projects, tasks and milestones into project timelines on a schedule. Read-only. Admins Settings > Integrations > Asana
Smartsheet and Microsoft Project Imports sheets and plans as projects with tasks, when someone starts an import. People with organization.update connect; project.create to import Settings > Integrations
Calendars Shows your Google or Microsoft 365 meetings on the Calendar page, and lets you reply to invites. Each person, for their own calendar Settings > Integrations
Directory sync Reads people from Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace and matches them to team members. Admins Settings > Integrations > Directory
Slack Sets your Slack status while you are in a Focus session. Each person, for their own Slack account Settings > Focus
Webhooks Sends a signed request to your own server when a routing template step runs. People with webhooks.manage Settings > Webhooks

The Integrations page groups cards by category: file storage, calendar, email, task management, timesheets and timelines. It also lists file storage (Google Drive, OneDrive), email (Gmail, Microsoft 365 Mail) and timesheet tools (Harvest, Workamajig), which are not covered in this section yet.

  • A personal connection uses your own account in the other tool. Disconnecting it affects only you.
  • Some cards act for the whole organization. On those, only people who can change organization settings see Connect and Disconnect.

Disconnecting never deletes what was already imported. Projects, tasks and timelines stay in ProjectBrain. Only future syncing stops.
