WhoEveryone. You only find things you already have access to.

Search finds tasks, projects, people and docs across your organization from any page. The project switcher takes you straight to another project. Both only show things you can already open.

  1. Press ⌘K on a Mac or Ctrl+K on Windows. You can also press / when you are not typing somewhere, or click Search in the header.
  2. Type what you are looking for.
  3. Choose a result to open it, or press Esc to close.

The quick search shows a few results of each kind. To see more, or to filter by content type, choose Search everything. That page has its own address, so you can share a search link.

Type filters straight into the search box. You can combine them.

Filter What it does Example
project: Only results from matching projects. Matches the project name, task key prefix or job number. project:acme
task: Finds a task by its key and shows it first. task:PB-268
title: Only results whose title contains the word. title:login

Put quotes around a value with spaces: project:"Acme Portal". If no project you can see matches a project: filter, the search says so and shows nothing.

  1. On any project page, choose Switch project beside the project name.
  2. Pick from Recent, from All projects, or type in Find a project.

The switcher keeps you on the same kind of page. If you are on a board, you land on the other project’s board. Your recent projects are the last few you opened.

Search never shows something you could not open yourself. A project behind an ethical wall, or in another organization, does not appear in results or in the switcher.
